Ayon is a strategic leader with over 15 years of experience spanning the realms of health, technology, social enterprise, housing, and public policy. With extensive business development, strategic planning and facilitation experience, Ayon brings a critical focus to ensuring strong communication and inclusive spaces that embrace divergent and convergent thinking.
As President of Branch Innovations & VP of Innovation and Business Development at Seafair Capital, he spearheads transformative initiatives grounded in a deep focus on impact for community wellbeing, the healthcare system, and on entrepreneurial success. A skilled collaborator, Ayon forges strategic partnerships across government, private, non-profit sectors, navigating complex systems to drive ambitious, people-centred solutions. Prior his work with Seafair Capital, Ayon held influential leadership roles at Choices for Youth and Engineers Without Borders Canada.
Ayon’s leadership extends to his active involvement in various boards and committees, including previous governance positions with the Canadian Housing and Renewal Association, the St. John's Tool Library, the City of St. John's Affordable Housing Committee, and the Catherine Donnelly Foundation. He is currently serving on the board of MusicNL and techNL, supporting DEIB initiatives in Newfoundland and Labrador’s technology ecosystem.
In 2021, Ayon completed the Strategic Innovation Programme at the Oxford University Saïd Business School. In 2019, he received an Engineering Excellence Award from Queen’s University; and in 2015 he was named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 Under 40.

Mohammad Sorkhian is data scientist with a strong background in industrial engineering and computer science. He earned his Master’s degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and his Bachelor’s degree from Azad University in Iran. Mohammad is skilled in data analysis, including the use of tools like Power BI, as well as web development using technologies like MERN stack, and various programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
As a Developer and Data Analytics Officer at Branch Innovations, Mohammad has led the design and development of numerous tech-forward innovations supporting start-up initiatives and organizations across the Seafair Capital group alike.
Before moving to Canada, Mohammad worked in Iran's automotive and electronics industries, focusing on making software processes more efficient and enhancing production systems.
His academic achievements include research in bioinformatics, where he applied machine learning to biological data. He presented his findings at the CIBB conference, showcasing his ability to apply innovative approaches across different fields. Mohammad has received prestigious awards, including a fellowship at the School of Graduate Studies and a Mitacs award.

Kelly is the Portfolio and Projects Coordinator at Branch Innovations. She enables cross-initiative collaboration, supports the development and refinement of new solutions, and facilitates engagement with the broader technology and entrepreneurship communities.
Kelly previously worked closely with Practicare as Instructional Design Lead. During this time, she led the development of online training programs for workers in the care sector to increase their skills and confidence, and to enhance the overall quality of care. Her experience at Practicare deepened her understanding of community care dynamics, technological innovations, sales strategies, and user-centered design principles.
Kelly also brings 5 years of practical teaching experience and holds a Master of Educational Technology and Bachelor of Education. She was honoured as the Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies and is the recipient of the University Medal for Academic Excellence in her faculty. Drawing on her academic and practical expertise, Kelly fosters an environment of continuous learning and innovation, striving to make connections and collaborations to further the goals of initiatives, projects, and companies within Branch.

Imran Moin is a Junior Developer with a diploma in Software Development (Co-op) from the College of the North Atlantic. Always inspired by technology, Imran's curiosity began in his childhood when he would take apart toys to understand how they worked. This passion led him to move from Saudi Arabia to Canada to further explore his interest in technology, and he believes this is just the beginning of his journey.
As a Junior Developer at Branch Innovations, Imran has been involved in the development of innovative solutions and has contributed to projects that streamline workflows and enhance application performance.
Before joining Branch Innovations, Imran gained experience in various roles, such as a Programmer Analyst at Newfoundland & Labrador Housing, where he led the development of an in-house web application, and as a Product Analyst at Nasdaq Verafin, where he improved data integrity and application stability.
Imran has also led and developed various projects during his studies, including a full-stack storefront application, Easyshopper.ca, which he built in the span of two months. These projects demonstrate his ability to lead teams, meet project deadlines, and utilize advanced technologies.
